The National Meat Institute took part of Expo Sial China with a 250 m2 stand, a bigger area than that of the last year. The innovation this year was that Uruguay occupied three spaces joined by design elements. Two of these spaces were meant for the presentation of slaughter plants and INAC and the third one was meant for brokers, traders and INAC.

Communication was based on food safety –issue that in China is of the outmost importance- and traceability as attributes of Uruguayan meat. At one of these spaces, INAC showed the seven ecosystems existing in Uruguay, as well as the production and characteristics of the country, related to the traceability system that makes it possible to get to know the origin of beef. Activities in this sense and with the same strategic communication line are being developed at Expo Milan, in the Uruguay Natural – Parrilla Gourmet restaurant.

This annual fair is a food and beverage exhibition focused on the Chinese market.

It is visited by professional purchasers and people of the food and beverage sector: supermarkets, trade brokers, wholesalers, importers and exporters, retailers, distributors, manufacturers. INAC has been attending this fair sin 2004.

The Uruguayan delegation was composed by the Chairman of INAC Federico Stanham, Guillermo Villa and Alberto González, members of the Board representing farmers and plants respectively.

The technical area was represented by the Director of External Markets Silvana Bonsignore and Cecilia Shaw from the Marketing area.
