World of Food Beijing

Along with 15 private enterprises, as co-exhibitors, INAC participated in the 2nd edition of World Food Beijing organized by Koelnmess, Anuga. The fair was held from November 18 to 20.

INAC hired a 138-square meter stand distributed in two floors.

Although INAC has participated in fairs in China since 2004, this was the first time it attended this exhibition.

The board delegates Eduardo Urgal and Manuel Lussich participated representing the industries and producers, respectively. From the technical area, Pablo Caputi, Director of Information and Economic Analysis and Silvana Bonsignore, Director of Foreign Markets, were also present in the fair.

Prior to the fair, the Director of Information and Economic Analysis at INAC, Pablo Caputi, had made a presentation at the China International Meat Conference 2015 held in Beijing, at the Convention Center of China.
Caputi presented the vision of Uruguay with respect to the Chinese market and the quality standard currently required, stressing the role of the country in terms of global food safety.

He also highlighted safety assurance systems with emphasis on traceability.

Uruguay exhibited together with Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and Germany and was the first country to open the presentations.

Chinese officials emphasized the efforts made to control informal meat trade while they explained the significance of the recent food safety law.
