Good positioning of Uruguayan meat at Spanish Fair

INAC participated in the Fair Alimentaria Barcelona which finished on March 26, verifying the steadiness of the market and the demand for Uruguayan meat, as the Vicepresident, Dr. Fernando Pérez Abella explained from Barcelona.

Dr. Pérez Abella said that the deals were carried out at the prices which the meat was being sold at and he added that Russian buyers had a strong interest for lamb, in a special moment, as Argentina did not participate of the Fair due to the closure of its exports.

INAC took part of this Fair for the first time in 2008 and this year its stand had 66 mts².

The delegation from INAC consisted of its Vicepresident, Dr. Fernando Pérez Abella, Dr. Emilio Mangarelli and Dr. Marcelo Secco, representatives of the producers and of the industry respectively, Marketing Director, Silvana Bonsignore and Head of Promotion, Mónica Silberman.
