From Farm to Table

In its Restaurant in China, INAC demonstrated traceability of cuts produced from cattle of five farms from the departments of Florida, Soriano, Tacuarembo and Rocha.  International guests recognized the achievement of the system.

Commissioners of the Universal Fair of Shanghai from Poland, Belgium, United Kingdom, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Animal Health authorities of China, as well as Chinese businessmen were present at this event.

Together with INAC's Chairman, Dr. Alfredo Fratti, the Undersecretary of the Presidency, Diego Canepa was also at the mentioned occasion.

Around 40 people took part in this activity, where they proved the traceability of the beef cuts tasted at the event.

The demonstration included the map of the farm where the cattle was produced, photographs of the responsible producers and of their farms, as well as the details that prove the traceability of the cut:  information of the producer, conformation of the animal and details of the farm.

The next Traceability Day will take place on July 18.
