INAC took part of the Prodexpo Exhibition in Moscow, which was held from 8 to 12 February for the 17th time.
The President, Mr. Alfredo Fratti, stated in Russia that the demand for Uruguayan beef is steady and he ensured that it was proved that international prices are undergoing a progressive recovery.
Although in Russia there is a new three-month import license mode, Fratti said he does not think this will created difficulties for trade with this nation, which is still demanding Uruguayan beef.
This is the third time INAC attends this exhibition; the Institute already attended Prodexpo in 2006 and 2009. In this occasion, it took part with an institutional stand of 72 square meters.
Together with World Food Moscow (September), Prodexpo is one of the most important agrifood exhibitions of the Russian Federation and Eastern Europe.
Besides of INAC's President, Mr. Alfredo Fratti, the Uruguayan delegation was composed of the industry and farmers representatives at INAC's Board: Messrs. Alberto González and Emilio Mangarelli respectively, and by Ms. Mónica Silberman and Mr. Daniel Sparano, both of them part of INAC's staff.
