The Uruguayan Embassy in Chile confirmed that it subscribed an official document of delivery of 10 tons of beef (30 thousand tins of corned beef) to the authorities of Talca province, one of the most affected areas by the earthquake in Chile.

The Mayor of the Maule region, Rodrigo Galilea; Talca governor, José Antonio Arellano; Chief of Maule, General Bosco Pesse and Colonel Fernando Morales, responsible of Talca´s main food distribution, thanked the Uruguayan Ambassador in Chile and his delegation and valued the Uruguayan solidarity which was so useful to cooperate in food aid to 32 thousand families victims of the area.

The article sent by the diplomatic office "Pointed out the special sensibility of the Uruguayan government, the National Meat Institute and its Board and of Marfrig slaughterhouse".
