Red meats as part of a healthy diet

Date: 11/17/2010

New Zealand's vision and experience.

In recent times red meats have been questioned by some sectors based on alleged negative effects on human health.

This issue is the target of ongoing debate, especially when it comes to the analysis of the contribution of beef in a balanced diet and aspects such as origin, type of product, processing, preparation, etc. are taken into account.

Latest disclosures on this subject will be presented by the Nutrition Manager of Beef & Lamb New Zealand, Fiona Carruthers, in the afternoon of the first day of the Congress.

Once again the Congress "From farm to table" will discuss a high sensitivity issue that has direct effects on the competitiveness of the meat chain and its relationship with society.

Wednesday 17th November is the deadline for early-bird registrations at the local network Redpagos; students have a special discount.
