Uruguay in Brazil

A "Country spot – Uruguay in Brazil” has been launched in Sao Paulo, where the leading Uruguayan products for export —meats, cheeses and wines— will be presented during several months.

The President of INAC, Dr. Alfredo Fratti, took part of the delegation that joined the President of the Republic José Mujica in his trip to Sao Paulo, in order to meet with authorities and businessmen from Sao Paulo.

Brazil is Uruguay’s main commercial partner. In 2010 the commercial exchange between them reached 1,531 million dollars.

The state of Sao Paulo, the main one in terms of Brazilian economy, has a favorable commercial balance of 300 million dollars.
