In the framework of the national agreement for the joint promotion of football and meat, Russia hosted the first activity for the promotion of Uruguayan meat.
The reception held at Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel in Moscow, opposite the Red Square, was attended by the Technical Director of Uruguay National Football Team Oscar Tabarez, Assistant Celso Otero and the President of the Uruguayan delegation Fernando Sobral.
Diego Lugano, Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez and Maximiliano Pereira, were also present among other members of the team.
Guests were served cube roll with vegetables, accompanied by Uruguayan wines and dairy products.
Representatives of sanitary authorities, Customs, Foreign Affaires, and Russian media were invited to the reception jointly organized by INAC and the Uruguayan Embassy in Russia headed by Ambassador Anibal Cabral. Ambassadors of other Latin-American countries were also invited.
Russia is an important market for Uruguayan meats, not only in terms of volume (30%) but also in terms of strategy since it is in the middle of the Oriental and Occidental cultures.
