Uruguay will host the World Meat Congress

It was finally confirmed in Paris that our country will host the Congress of the International Meat Secretariat – IMS in 2016.

At the meeting held before the World Meat Congress taking place in France, it was also confirmed that Fernando Gil, General Director of INAC, has been included as a member of IMS’ Board of Directors.

The next venue for the Congress in 2014 is China as already planned in the schedule of the biennial meeting.

Uruguay was then confirmed as the host for 2016, which will in consequence bring to the country over 1,500 world personalities related to the meat market.

During the World Meat Congress held in Paris until Wednesday 6th June, there will be a presentation of the President of INAC, Alfredo Fratti, entitled “The meat at the top of Technology: the point of view of developing countries”, which will address aspects of the technological development of meat livestock in Uruguay, related to natural production.
