Uruguayan Meat in Hamburg

Between March 14th and March 19th several promotion activities were carried out in Hamburg, in the framework of the Internorga Exhibition (International Exhibition for the Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Baking and Confectionery Trades).

Activities developed by INAC were performed together with the German chain BLOCK FOODS, which presented visitors with a menu prepared with Uruguayan meats, including: Carpaccio, Bull Soup, Grilled ribeye and roast beef, served with Tannat wine. 

The idea was to show that Uruguayan meats are suitable for different presentations and cooking methods. 

INAC was represented by its President, Alfredo Fratti. 

Likewise, a special promotion is being held until the end of March at 84 Famila supermarkets, of which BLOCK HOUSE has been the exclusive supplier for over 20 years. Only Uruguayan meats are being offered as imported meats, highlighted with special  ads. 

Two round-trip air tickets to visit Uruguay -including accomodation- will be raffled among all those who buy Uruguayan meats, in the framework of the same promotion activities held in October 2013. 

Every two weeks a brochure advertising cuts is being sent to some 3 million homes in the north of Germany. 

As of March 14th untill the end of the month, Uruguayan roast beef will be offered in 14 BLOCK HOUSE restaurants in Hamburg, accompanied with Tannat wine. As of March 15th the remaining BLOCK HOUSE restaurants in the rest of Germany will also offer Uruguayan meats in their menus for 3 weeks.  

Promotion activities are complemented with 150 backlights advertising Uruguayan meats in strategic points of Hamburg.

  

On Sunday March 16th, a reception entitled “The evening of Uruguay” was held at the Gran Elysee five-star hotel of BLOCK Group, with the attendance of between  200 and 250 guests. The menu included Uruguayan beef and Tannat wines, and guests were offered a tango show.
